Another one total loss
 

For those of you who committed on my bonne that I bought last week, here's an update: My brother borrowed my car last night to make a run to a friend's house, on his way there he was rear ended... Here are the results.

I'm so sad, didn't even get a chance to enjoy her. But through it all she's still drivable not that I would because she is a goner...

Yes my brother is ok. He’s just sore from it all. Someone cut him off which made him have to slam on breaks and the car behind him rear ended him. They were on the freeway were the average speed is about 65 I don’t think they were going that fast, if were to guess I would say they may have been going 40.

It was still the other guy's fault, so you might get a large penny out of this ;-)

That car took the hit like a champ. Good to see your brother is ok.

Was the car smashed over to the side of the road? That's one of the few ways I see that happening. I'm really sorry about this car. I hope you get a newer, better Bonneville soon!

The side was a result of him trying to avoid another car who tried to cut him off to beat him to next exit. My brother hit the brakes to let him go and the other guy rear ended him and pushed him into the car he was trying to avoid.

The insurance company is BSing with me right now trying to say it was the other guys fault. They don't know I work for an insurance company and know the law when it comes to this stuff. I had to correct them on a few things regarding that matter. A rear end is a rear end... you are at fault and you must pay... lol

Man, Im sorry to hear about the accident. Im glad that your brother is ok! I also had a 97 SE Bonneville myself and I also got in a rear-end collision. Mine was no where near as bad though. I hope that everything works out in the end! Keep us posted!

It seems like nobody ever gets hurt in these boneville crashes :D . It still sucks to hear it happen though :cry: . Hopefully it will all work out for the better.
