Angel Eyes

Well, for Christmas, or as soon as possible, I am going to get some angel eyes. I have been wanting some. I was wondering if you guys could post some pictures of your angel eyes and what they look like. I would appreciate it. Thanks.

$42, that's not bad. How hard are they to install? The installation process is the only part holding me back. I'm afraid of blowing something up with the wiring :? How are you thinking about wiring it? A seperate switch for the LED rings? If you could take some pictures in the process of installing it i would REALLY appreciate it. It would help a lot of others too.

yeah ill take some pics...

i plan on running the lights through the stock for wiring, and then running the rings off an accessory switch i mounted a long time ago

Aight, thanks bro. That wil help me a lot. I'm not too good when it comes to working with electrical stuff. Home audio and stuff like that, I'm in like Flint. But car electronics.... that's a whole nother story. :(

harofreak00 11-23-2004 08:18 PM

step 1: remove old lights
step 2: mount new lights
step 3: wire up new lights
a. run ground wire
b. run power wire
c. run accessory wire

step 2 & 3 are interchangable...

its not that hard...only gotta worry about 3 wires, and 2 are already done for ya! just get that one wire through the firewall and ur set

Where does the wire end up after you send it through that little hole in the firewall (your talking about the one right behind the driver's side strut tower, right)? Where did you put your switch for it? I want to put mine on the center console. If that won't work, whats the best alternative?

harofreak00 11-23-2004 08:30 PM

i didnt wanna mess up my center console so much, so i put the switch in a hidden(kinda) spot.

you know that piece on the bottom of the center console by the gas pedal, that has a vent in it, its basically a pointless flap of plastic to make it look like the center console goes all the way to the firewall ...well i cut in there with a dremel (its 1/4" thick") and put 2 switches in there when i put in my neons.

the yellow lines on this picture...on the drivers side though...just dont have a pic of that side

Will that mess up your wiring by putting differnt bulbs in? Or are they 885's? Also can you put 100w bulbs in without frying the wire?? thanks

I made mine..I am waiting to put them on here but it only cost me like 20 bucks and my time....they look great at night .

L27Buick 12-04-2004 10:09 PM

my only worry is if the stock wireing wont hold the power and amps that the new lights pull. how meny amps do those lights pull? and what gauge is the stock wires?

BonneMeMN 12-04-2004 11:46 PM

I used their wiring, so i don't blow anything, and don't have to cut the stock setup, I used LED's to show status, so i can see what's on at night at a glance. They're 3000mcd LED's, they're BRIGHT.

Halo's on.

I've seen enough of the AE's with just the halo's on...I wanna see the whole light on....See if they're worth me getting a pair.

BonneMeMN 12-05-2004 03:31 AM

Bright as Sin. Cyberwhites seem to be better for oncoming traffic, Hellas are good if you want a lot of light up and down, if you're going up or down hills etc. On a few twisty roads here outside of town i'm glad i have them since low beams don't hit high.

How tough of an installation is this? It would be my first time really doing anything electrical stuff on my car.

Here's the link to my photo essay on Angel Eye installation...

http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...c.php?p=122272

I wired the main lights for the Angel Eyes to the original fog light woring, thus my overhead foglight switch still works.

I install seperate red illuminated switchs for the angel eye 'halos'.

Merlin 91/97 12-05-2004 07:16 PM

And here's a link to some shots after my Angel Eye installation.... which was also my Silverstar installation...... :)
