Cool Made Some Changes - Amsoil Ea Filter Review

Hey guys, I've been busy with Bonnie the last couple days. Just wanted to update on my progress.

First, I got some chrome bulbs for my turn signals and corners.

I also finally disabled my DRLs and Auto Headlights the right way, thanks to accidentally finding the resistor. Thanks to Bill and Dan for identifying it for me.

Lastly, I decided to change the colors under the hood. I repainted my engine cover, air box, and cross bar. The blue is actually a little darker in person. The cell phone'* camera is good, but doesn't capture the true color so well.

I started to notice small chips in the red I used last time. This time, I used a layer of clear over the blue (both are 500 degree heat resistant paint). Hopefully the clear layer will protect the color better.

That looks nice. I personally love chrome bulbs. I have them for my rear turn signals

WOW! I really like those colors. They make a statement in the engine bay. Nicely done.

looks good, love the chrome bulbs.

And the engine bay really stands out, what kind of prep did you do to the painted plastics?

What else do you plan on doing to the car and the engine bay?

I used a layer of Plastic Primer first. Then color, then clear. You can see the whole project step-by-step in this album. I first did the project in red, but changed it to blue because it matches better with the car. Shoot me a PM if you'd like more detail about it. I'm not sure what else I'll be doing to the engine bay.

As for upcoming mods, I have an Amsoil Ea foam air filter coming tomorrow. It flows almost as well as a cotton gauze (K&N) filter, but filters the air better. It'* also reusable, just spray it with compressed air to clean it.

I'm also looking to convert my interior to LED bulbs, paint my calipers (same color as engine bay) and drums (probably black), get a new high-flow muffler, an SSEi grille, window tint, and a couple special mods (including one that I believe has never been done before ). All of that will hopefully be done by fall.

Good luck with the mods! Your chrome bulbs made me go looking on eBay to see if I can find some. Are these the bulbs you're using?
