Default Nighttime Pics

I was pretty impressed with 1994se'* night pics of his Bonne and went out last night to experiment with my own. First attempt taking pics at night without a flash. I just used the existing light from the overhead floods. The yellowish hue is from the parking lot lights.

Looking sweet...even in yellow light Those are really clear - did you use a tripod? I can't get mine to be clear at night w/out one.

Very nice Walter..did you experiment with shutter times etc?

I hear from a birdy that your camera should have lots of features.

Turned out nice, I like how it isn't quite dark so you can still see the skyline sort of.

Nice job!
Looks real nice, and I like the effect of the over head lights.

Affirmative. I tried different aperature and shutter speeds. I might go over to the dealership where i got the car from this evening. They use those bright white lights to illuminate their lot. I got my best results from the Canon 50mm 1.4 lens that I was using.

Those look pretty good. I did some pics of down my street at night messing with the aperature/shutter, etc... I got a pic of the street lights, and house lights, and even the stars showed up. Looks pretty cool. You can get some cool results messing with the manual settings. You can also make a big smear if you try holding the camera with the shutter set to 16 seconds... lol

Took a few more last night using different lighting. I think I like the yellowish hue better.
