Default New toy for the 90 Bonneville...

Well, the 4th qtr bonus check was pretty good this year, and a bit of it got spent on the Bonneville. One item I stumbled across on eBay turned out to be in the same town I live in, so I jumped on it:

It'* a Goodwrench replacement motor pulled from a 2000 Grand Prix. Has 10K miles on it. Got to pick it up from the seller storage area this week.

Now the quandry of whether I continue on plan to add the M62 to the LN3 motor for starters, or pull the entire motor at one shot and insert this new one in it'* place.

pull and replace. Follow Randman1'* threads on how he did it and also PM him or bill for phone support on the project. It'* been done by them before. your only issue might be the lack of a parts car, as they had the entire car and just swapped the subframe (yes, it fits) and suspension from the 97 they used.

I believe the motor mounts are the same. Being the right year...look under your coolant overflow for the TA mount. holes and you are home free with a trans, pcm and a little wiring.

Nice find, Curt!

Knowing you, it will be a nice clean install. And somehow I just can't picture you waiting to put that in...
