I've only had this a couple years so its been work in project. it'* a 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 fast back. it'* been in a old shed for over 9 years when i got this. it had a 289 with a cruisomatic 2 speed on the column. the previous owner really did a bad job on the engine in this, he put 302 head on it from a 79 which are the bad smogger heads. then he used the 289 pushrods which are about .090 to short. yeah! you could literally take the rockers and turn them, pull out the rods by hand.. after seeing this kinda work i decided to pull the engine and trans. I found a really nice 460 Police interceptor with a c6 3 speed auto that had only 73000 miles on it for $400 ! so I tore into the engine , rebuilt it to be fun and yet good for parades and shows. Car has amazing low end power which is great for a car that weighs almost 5500 lbs. In any rate, here are some pics of it. [IMG][/IMG]

it' has like all old cars lots of work to do yet and has a bottomless money pit. I love the old style power steering, 1 pinky power is awesome.

Great looking car James! I had a 1965 Galaxie back when it was a $200 car. I drove it like I hated it and it still ran for a couple years at a time when cars lasted me months. Love to see an interior shot to bring back memories.
