Toolbox and tires was for Christmas. For my birthday (in a few weeks) I have chrome door + tailgate covers, chevy decal, chevy license plate cover, and maybe a chrome gas cap. I'm also thinking about adding a slim series Pioneer 10".

Very nice! the 3rd and 4th pic I think look amazing!

harofreak00 01-02-2008 12:08 PM

looks like a nice truck. those are some pretty nice xmas presents!

not many people do the Bonneville to fullsize truck upgrade ;)

Lowrider0308 01-02-2008 02:55 PM

thanks...yeah i know its night and day comparing a bonneville to a truck. I wanted a truck from the start, but i was handed the bonneville. It served me well for a while. This is basically the vehicle that is to last me though college until i can afford to buy myself one.

wjcollier07 01-02-2008 05:43 PM

So we both went from '93 SEs to late model chevys  interesting.

Nice color! I probably would hate that color on a car, but looks outstanding on a truck!

Any pics of the interior? And what kinda tires are those?

banned3800 01-02-2008 05:45 PM

Andrew... Does it have Limited Slip? And if it does can I drive it?

Wait its also Fly By Wire isn't it?

i'm pretty sure both spin, rather well. Had to find out before i put the $700 265/70/R17 BFG Longtrail's that are 2 sizes bigger than stock for a better ride. And yes, its fly by wire. My friend who drives a ford ranger drove it and was like dang its got balls  . I think it has 3.73 rear gears.

banned3800 01-02-2008 10:04 PM

Yeah I already know those trucks are fun

Do you have the G80 HD Locking Diff?

And its Drive by Wire Don. ;)

How'd you get those damn things to spin? :x I can lose traction  it makes doing a u turn...fun! but in a straight line...NO GO! :? I guess mine is just too heavy.

I've even done a brake stand, gas to the FLOOR and the DBW just said, OH HELL NO, and just sat at about 2500 rpms and made a face at me

GoldenBullet 01-03-2008 12:32 AM

jon...brake pedal + gas pedal = fun

im sure you have you unplugged a lot of sensors or something tho

The GMC OEM style Limited Slips are VERY VERY easy to destroy. Keep an eye out on that. Its the Governor Style Limited slip, basically its self adjusting VIA spring loaded cam on a shaft, it kinda ratchets into spot, if it jumps, she self adjusts all the way at once and blows up.
Just a tid bit of warning from someone in the trade! 8)

Nice truck though, she looks clean, and Im sure it will remain in good shape for time to come

Lowrider0308 01-03-2008 02:52 PM

john i'm much light than you and have more power and torque...The only reason i spun the last set of tires is because they were about to go. I dont do it on my new ones.

Gumball 01-03-2008 04:26 PM

Nice Truck Bro ;)

fantastic88 01-04-2008 07:10 PM

A single cab with the 5.3L must fly!

1995BvSSE 01-04-2008 08:42 PM

Nice truck. As for spinning the tires, my my dad's '05 Sierra spins at will. I've spun them on dry pavement in a straight line a few times. It even has the less aggressive gears, 3.23(I think).

nice truck.. imo i'd stay away from the chrome gas cap. only looks right on certain cars, some pickups just dont' look right with them

it's funny, john did a bonne to truck upgrade, you did now too

definitely a nice ride!

why?? cadillacs never came as trucks until the EXT came along, it's a bad looking swap.. idk :?

Lowrider0308 01-30-2008 06:40 PM

yeah i've pretty much put mods on hold for a while. i stopped thinking about exterior stuff and just did speakers and a radio. once basketball season is over in a week or 2 (depending on how we perform in districts) i am going to start working on the camaro again.
