That astro is a warroir. It has a stock 4.3 TBI with a flowmaster and dual 3" stainless tips coming out the center of the back under the bumper. It has jumped a ditch, went through a corn field, and hit a tree. We got it back to the shop, pulled the corn combs out, put a new spindle on, and lag bolted new headlights on. Then with a few good tugs with the old F250, we pulled the core support out. Torched off parts of the fender, and he has been driving it since.

Think of it this way... Even my '97 Astro was an RWD with a posi. Very little weight on the rear axle, more than capable of doing good burn-outs. A bit slow off the line in a drag race though, moving 4300 lbs...the earlier series (like the one shown in the video) is a bit lighter in weight.

My 92 Blazer had that motor. What a powerplant!!. It had a posi with 3.42 gears and a shift kit. I also had a K&N cone filter with no heat shield. Hitting second at 3/4-WOT it would either squack the tires or break them loose. I miss that truck. The body was falling apart though
