They were harder on it in the magazine article.
They didn't like the stabilitrak because it limited performance testing.
They didn't like the cladding. They didn't like the steering feel or lack there of.
They didn't like the shift programming and the 108 mph 3rd gear limiter.
The mag 0-60 time was 7.5 sec.....in the vid they said 7.1 sec.
I read the mag article after I had ordered my car and almost cancelled it after reading it. :?

i have never in my life heard of car and driver having a tv show....
but for the car..haha...i cant believe they redesigned the whole thing, then in 2004 added a new engine and THEN discontinued it, who wants to kill GM'* decision makers?
