First: a civic hatcback like that weight somewhere 940kg
2nd: with just a B16a (SiR engine , or Si '99 in US, or japan model) 160hp
3rd with a jackson racing supercharger : 240hp
just with that i know a guy that run in 13'* over 105mph.
expecting that the guy in vid have may be more than that, B20vtec , lsvtec it can be fast. but $$$
still less than the GTO price but hey... ill take the GTO anytime

Probably had enough money in that Civvy to make up the price difference.

my civic( stolen 4 days ago :( ) was doing 14.5 with just a B16a (SiR 1.6 liter vtec dohc japan) + exhaust ,headers, cam gear, CAI, fuel rail, fuel regulator,
as you see that is basic mods , for 5000$ canadian i was able to get :
-lower compression forged piston
-Jackson racing supercharger with smaller pulley kit.
-prelude fuel pump
(the mechanic at that place have a civic with that setup and the car run 13 flat all day)
all that including my civic and engine swap cost 12000 $ canadian. not bad for a low 13'* car.
but like i said earlier, ill take the GTO anytime.
dont think the honda will last as long as the GTO, "B" engine series rev to limiter at 8200 rpm or more 8400 for type-r, and i see some guys in the 10000 rpm , for sure theres a lot more wear than a 6k reving car.
