I always knew a lightly modded 4.0 could achieve 14'* in the 1/4 but no one has ever posted about it.

Until now....

Check out these vids, a co-member at ACNA hit the Mason-Dixon drags this weekend and achieved a PB of 14.86 @ 92.23 mph. The vids show a convincing victory against a Mazda Miata, and the second was his 4th run against a heavily modded Eclipse, the Aurora took it off the line but ended up losing the race.

3 out of 4 aint bad.

The car is modified with a full Corsa exhaust and a Reflectix (sp?) wrapped stock airbox w/K&N

i ran a 14.4 at mason dixon.... down hill track... seriously

RT was not the best IIRC, for a rookie track driver, 0.4 seconds off an experienced drag racer would stand for something.

Nope, the Final 500 is a 2003, and has 17" STS style wheels, however we do have an ACNA member with a final 500...helluva car, in fact he has 2 Auroras.

i'm not sure if thats impressive seeing a 20G car does that with a turbo and plenty of more tourque.

What does an aurora weigh? Good footage, although the camera person could have gotten the times Is that his PB?

14.86 was the PB, however I am not certain if the vids captured the personal best. The weight of the car is just a bit less than 3900 lbs.

My Aurora is heavier though. One of the improvments that the 2nd gen enjoys.
