Default My Latest Car

Besides being a Full Size Pontiac owner, I am also a Station Wagon fan.

This is not actually my car, but very close. My car has factory Alloy Wheels on it.

Here is a description. This car was ordered new @ Berejik Olds in Needham Mass. (Berejik was the High Performance Olds dealer in the Northeast.) The owner owned a company and was on the road all day so he practically lived in the car. Berejik took the car back in trade in 1991. At theat time the car had 150000 miles on it. George Berekik kept the car for himself and used it as his transportation to and from the races. He is curently in the process of reducing his collection so he put that and others up for sale. I went to speak @ an lds Club meeting @ George'* place and saw the car. I did a quick walk around and looked inside and I though that the car had 30000 miles on it. When George told me that It had 157000 on it I could not believe it. I was looking for another wagon to take the International Station Wagon Convention this year and the price was right, so I now own it. This car rides and drives like it is brand new and the Automatic Level Control actually works!

I'll post a real picture of it when I get my son to take one!

thats a nice wagon, brings back memories. my mom had the late 80'* smaller olds with fwd and a 3.8 sfi. i think it was a ciera brougham. a couple of times she let me borrow it you could fit a whole bunch of high school kids in a wagon with a 3rd row seat.

Good looking wagon. Last week at work a mid 60s wagon drove past. Now that was nice. Back when wagons looked super cool.

Nice... station wagons have some very loyal fans. I knew a 80+ (now late) man who drove his station wagon from Illinois to New Jersey every year for a station wagon meet-up fest.Who would og guessed there were national station wagon fests... He drove a full size Mercury station wagon. His engine blew somewhere in West Virginia a few years back. The locals found a nearly new engine from a totaled Lincoln Town car, and did the swap for him (parts and labor) for $500. Hats off to the kind people of West Virginia.....

My parents owned a 1988 Chevy Caprice Station Wagon for many years. They bought it in 1990 with like 54,000 miles on it and was our family car taking us all over the country and it was a great car. Plenty of room to take the 4 of us, all our luggage, and the two dogs in there cages in the back. While being loaded down, the ol 305 would still pull about 21-22 MPG highway. Pretty darn impressive for a car that size with all the cargo...and we were comfortable while traveling!

We finally sold the car last summer, had right around 205,000 miles on orignal everything. The car still ran great, every once and awhile would act up on really warm days. Was hard to see that car go with so many child hood memories in that car. It was even the car I drove for drivers training..yea.its possible to parallel park that thing..if you could find a spot large enough! haha

We still see it around town sometimes as its still serving its new owners!

Those cars are small compared to the 1973 Mercury Monterey 2 door HT that I took my test on!

When it came time for the "3 point turn" on the narrow city street, the DMV Inspector had me do it between a fire hydrant and a garbage can. He turned to me and said "you knock the trash can over, YOU pick up the mess".
