Default kobalt double drive ratchet set

well, i received this set for christmas. i have to say, i was very happy with it. until it broke. i had only used it on 3 6mm screws on my snowblower went to switch it back to tighten back the screws and it got stuck. no ratcheting at all, and if you turned the handle right, it tightened the screw, if you turned it left, it loosened the screw. no clue how i managed that removing basically sheet metal screws from plastic, but i did. another thing that i can forsee being annoying, is if you are trying to get to a bolt that requires you to only hold the end of the ratchet you will be cussing, alot. because if you hold the end and not the actual ratchet head it will just flop so the socket is facing down.

I've played with that ratchet before. Past tense...before. A long time ago. That ratchet will never see the inside of my tool box. I might use one to throw at a Kia though.

Bit driver'* I've had problem with too I ended up with a better set at $70.
What really bugs me .....hate it when the gear drives go Fubar on ratchets.
A few year back, I had a cheaper ratchet, that while I was trying to break free the drain bolt, it decided to snap, sending my knuckles at warp speed into diff cover. I cant post what I said at that moment but it went something like this...Mthr &^*___^%$%& f for or a good half a minute ! Ouch it hurt with blood dripping, and I thought I broke something else beside the ratchet. If I would have had a cuttin torch handy, It would have ended up fried in a few pieces!
After that experience..I now have all new quality tools ..I dont buy crap no more.
It is just not worth my time, aggravation or safety. I also learned to use leather work gloves & safety glasses in certain areas too.
I have now 15 solid ratchets in different length/drive sizes etc & 3 with extenders for such needed breaker applications, and larger torque beakers if need be.

If I can recommend Jason to look for a deal on some better quality tool sets, they are worth it for the long run.
Sorry to hear about your experience though..
