Geeze, for $200, save a few pennies more $499, and you can get HPtuners. Oh the wonders that thing does.

Mike, I have HP tuners. Like anything else it has its limitations. From my research the Actron CP9580 is the best scanner (for the money) available.

Cant justify that Mike. Not really into racing my Park Ave LOL.
Even though I think it would be cool to fine tune stuff you just cant normally access especially if you are chipped and FAI etc...
I am just tired of going to a friends shop (he has a large $3500 hand held unit)
mainly want to see the stored DTC codes. (in other words still trying to get the bugs out)

Mike Thanks for reply. We double posted about the same time.
I will do a search for Canada as that ebay link is to ship US only.
That is a great price for the CP9580 PLUS !!!
I think that will do for my needs just fine, and hopefully does my Jeep too. (I guess that falls under Chrysler?)

Let me know if you can't find one. You can send me the money by paypal and I can buy one for you and ship it to you. I work in the states and live in Canada. Could probably ship it for $10 or so.

HPTuners doesn't have bi-directional support though.

For $240 you can get this though, and have the same amount of control as a Tech2.

Yes they do.

Only thing it DOESN'T do, is the ABS bleed. Which, I've seen on the forum, everyone is complaining about.

Apparently they are working on that feature.

I took some screenshots of the VCM control panels to show what exactly it can do.

Ooooh fancy!

Still wouldn't pay $500 for something I can pay $240 for though. =P

you pay the extra for being able to change parameters, pretty tempting to someone like myself who is in neverending battles with the pos gm evap system. you dont know how many times ive thought about buying it for that reason alone.
