Default Brakes

1994 Pontiac Trans AM 25th anniversary 5.7 . I have replaced rear calipers, rubber hoses and steel lines. can not get fluid pressure to rear. I have pressure at abs module at bleeder valves, but no pressure at brake line going to rear. Can this be a modulator problem or electrical, or something else. Thanks for any help

How many miles on the car?

How many miles have you owned it?

Did the rear brakes work well before all of this?

What was the reason for replacing all of these parts?

If fluid getting to the rear of the brake lines at all?

I just got this car. Rear brakes were not working. Brake lines were very rusty, so were the rotors. I took the brake line to the rear, loose{after replacing all rear brake components} at the abs module and pumped fluid to the rear with the bleeders open. fluid ran out of calipers, so I'm pretty sure there is no line blocked, unless the rubber hose at the rear dif. is collapsing when I attempt to bleed, but I don't think so because I have No pressure at the front where brake line connects to abs module. Car has 89 thousand miles. It has been sitting; undriven for a while.

If fluid is getting to the calipers, you should have brake pressure when the bleeders are closed . . . unless there is a leak somewhere else.

The rubber hose won't collapse when you attempt to pressure bleed, and if it is any good, it won't collapse when you vacuum bleed.

Are you pressure bleeding or vacuum bleeding?

Are you bleeding one side at a time?

So when someone sits inside and pushes hard on the brake pedal, the rear wheels turn freely?

Yes, even with car engine running; no rear brakes.I had all brake lines, front and rear off. Front brakes bled instantly, but I cannot get fluid to come through abs system going to rear. antilock system has two modulators on top with bleeders to front and rear. bleeders have good pressure before passing through these two modulators, but no pressure to line side going to rear.

I'm having a hard time reconciling these two statements. I feel like I'm missing something . . . ?
