Default Valve cover, empty threads

Someone please help. I am curious as to why there are empty threaded holes in the valve cover. I drive a 2006 sierra 1500 with a 5.3 vortec

It'* probably for some feature or accessory that your vehicle does not have. I looked around to try to figure it out but can't find one with something fastened there. This kind of thing is common as a cost-saving measure. It'* nothing to worry about.
