Default 1995 4l60e pump replacement

So I started off driving one day with hard shifting and then BOOM I though I blew my torque converter so I dropped the trans same day and found that my pump went out and broke the 2 pieces that hold on the torque converter so I ordered a new pump and now I’m having trouble putting the new one in as it will not set in place I have no idea what I’m doing wrong and need some pointers

Pull the pump and let us see what you got inside.

I was wanting to see straight down on it. When you try and wiggle it to go down does it stick?

Does the shaft rotate OK? Is it straight? I think the shaft may be bent right at the bearing. Even a small amount will bind it up. Did the pump pull off easy enough?

Is that a new pump or a used pump?

Did you replace all of the shaft seals?

I figured it out guys part of the shaft was pressed up against the sidewall so I moved it and it slid right in lol the trans is back in my truck now and she’* back on the road the shifting is a little rough any ideas on what could cause that?

It'll take a bit for it to get the adaptives learned.
