Default alternator question?

i just replace the alternator on my 1989 gmc r3500 with a 454 tbi.the new one shows 13.5v at the battery no mater what you have on is that good or bad?

ok thank you .i just read online it was supposed to be 14 something and was worried it was low

13.5 is fine. That it remains 13.5 no matter what you turn on tells me that it has enough capacity and the regulator is working well.
