4L60e pump to case wedged seal replacement
Every time I've seen it done, the bell housing was removed first. It'* easy anyways.
If it'* dirty on the outside (from road debris etc.) take a minute to clean it up around the joint between the bell housing and the transmission body. Preferably clean the whole bell housing since you have it open already. One stray speck of anything falling in there could be disastrous.

Thank you for the info. I was afraid I would strip the screws but went ahead and used a Torx Plus 50 with my air impact and was surprised to see how quickly they came out. Unlike older transmissions where the pump to bell housing seal can be removed and re-used, newer ones have the molded metal/rubber seal which is wedged and held in place by the bell housing.
