help with new torque converter

Default help with new torque converter

i just bought a rebuilt converter to go with a replacement transmssion and noticed it has 3 more mounting pads then my old torque converter.is it ok to just use three of them or should i get a different converter.also the vehicle is a 1989 gmc r3500 with a 454 and a th400.

should be oem spec or close. so you think its ok just to use 3 of the 6 holes like the original?

It'* a TC that has more than one application. So long as you have three line up with your flexplate/crank you'll be good.

ok thank you so much.i just didnt want to install it and then have to take it back off just because it would work.
