Default C0036 Code

I'm getting a C0036 code (Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor)..... the wheel bearing has been replaced and I'm still getting the code.... when I put my scanner on it, it shows the correct MPH for the left front wheel so it'* getting a signal which in my mind rules out the wiring.... what else??

Are you sure you diagnosed the correct wheel/code? I'm seeing different references to L/F and L/R sensor.

Default P0036

My GM Tech II indicated it was P0036 and in the love stream it showed the wheel was picking up the right MPH for the wheel. The bearing had just been replaced so I'm wondering if I got a bad bearing to start with

Anything is possible.

But, use your Tech2 to verify all other wheel speed sensors are working correctly just to eliminate false positives.

You posted to the Pontiac forum but I don't see a Pontiac in your vehicles. Don't know what you are working on.
At any rate, the best thing is to look at the output with a scope. If you can graph with your scan tool look for any dropouts. You likely not find them but if you do you know the signal is bad. The refresh rate on a scan tool is very low and misses many things you'll find with a scope.

That'* what'* been bugging me!

Yesterday I was looking at I kept thinking it'* some kind of GP or Bonne by association with the forum this thread is in and the list of vehicles, but there are no Pontiacs there. Missed that one!

So . . . dandyd, what kind of car are we working on?

How many miles on it?

How long have you owned it?

How many miles have you owned it?

Know anything about its history?

. . . and . . .

From these I need to get clarified: Was the problem there first, then the wheel bearing replaced? . . . or was the wheel bearing replaced, then the problem started?
