Default Rear brake rotors

2003 Bonneville SLE - It is my observation that rear calipers are hard to find versus front ones. Is this because rear calipers rarely need to be replaced.? This is what my rear rotors look like.

Looks fairly normal to me. Hardly used from the looks of it. Remember, 80% of braking is done up front. 20% in the rear.

As Mike said above ^^^^^^ rear brakes on one of those do 20% of the braking, so wear and tear is much lower on them as compared to the front. I looked around at a few sites and find that rear calipers are in stock everywhere, albeit with a much narrower selection.

The picture doesn't really show much. If I had to make an observation from just this picture I'd say it looks like the pad was down to the metal some time ago, then just recently got down to the metal again.

Do you suspect a caliper problem caused this?
