We have a 2005 Bonneville with 160000 miles on it. The air conditioning compressor has suddenly started clicking whenever the air is on. It sounds like a playing card clicking in the spokes of a bicycle. Still getting cold air out but I've told my daughter to leave the A/C off until we figure something out.

Any suggestions?

The clutch plate gap may be too large and need adjustment.
