I was thinking of getting Walker Direct-Fit Catalytic Converter Part #16386. In the part description it says Walker EPA Ultra Direct Fit Converter; SE. Will this work for an SLE? I can't seem to find one that is specific to the SLE.

As long as its the same engine, L36 non-supercharged you will be fine.

dont think i would assume that. my 98 sse uses the ssei exhaust and the l36. if you have dual pipes and the se doesnt(i dont know for sure) might be like the ssei

SLE is far different than the SSE and SSEi. Basically, the same as the SE. Probably has floor shifter. Shouldn't matter anyway, its all different downstream of the cat. Only difference between the L36 cat and L67 cat is the L67 might be a tad bigger to compensate for more fuel usage. But pipe size remains the same.
