Default Control Arm replacement comments 1999 Buick Park Avenue

I fixed laurens car and replaced my control arm. Both jobs took me less than an hour together surprisingly. I found out why my car was making an ungodly loud popping sound every time I hit any kind of bump.... this bushing isn't supposed to have any play. Let alone come out and be worn down to the metal. Replaced a control arm in under one hour using non air tool and no lift... impressive!

thank you sir. it was actually alot easier than i originally thought. gm actually did a good job thinking through this job. the nuts had these neat little tabs on them so i didnt need to put a wrench on it. not that i could have because the wrench i have to fit on those nuts was wayyyy too long. i didnt even need my fork for the ball joint either. just undid the swaybar balljoint and the 2 long bolts. didnt touch the brakes shock axle tierods or anything else at all apart from the wheel.
