Is it possible to plug and play the Monsoon system in my 03 Regal?
Hey everyone !
I've been searching the net for an answer to my question, but can't seem to quite find one. I have the Regal Radio/CD head unit in my Regal. I want to upgrade to the Monsoon system and I'm not sure if I can do this. I used to have a Taurus that I swapped out amps on for more power and the harness was already to accept the changes. I'm wondering if I can do the same here. I found out that the Monsoon amp gets located in the trunk under the rear deck. I am wondering if there is a harness already there for me to plug and play the Monsoon amp, switch out the head unit, unlock the head unit and presto... new more powerful system. Anyone have any info on this would be much appreciated. Thanks

Well you answered it. I'm not running new wires just for an OEM system. I'll pay the extra money and get somethiing after market or just keep what I got. I like the sound of my stock CD palyer it just sisn't loud enough... I like it pumping...LOL Thanks for the quick replies...Cheers
If the Monsoon and Bose systems were such "high end" systems from the factory, then why did they bother to put crappy paper speakers in? Why didn't they just use better speakers?

They want the selling price and perceived value of a high end system without incurring the cost of actually putting one in.
