Default tensioner pulley

alright i had to have my 02 ssei in the shop today the mechainc told me my tension pully was bad i had notice a slight squeak form the pulley was wondering if i can just change the pulley or if i have to change the whole assembley since i just changed the two elbows

Is this the tensioner pulley just below the alternator? And what did he say was wrong with it?

Yes, you can change just the pulley. I do believe it is a reverse thread bolt.

Correct. This repair is "do it in the Advance parking lot" easy, which is where you and a $20 bill should go for a new idler pulley.

Just push the tensioner arm back and slip the belt off, then, because it'* reverse-threaded, turn the 15mm bolt hard clockwise to loosen it. Slap on a new pulley (and a new bolt, if the pulley came with one), put the belt back on, and go home.

Thank you guys it was pretty easy the bearings were shot in the old one
