Hey guys...my boost only goes a little past the zero at max for some reason i thought this was normal but now i know better..I've been looking up some threads that said something about the bca and bcs and something about it being binded up but i dont know what these are or where they're at....also I seen something about bypassing the bca or bcs to have continual boost or something like that...please assist me to get my boost up. Thanks

Look on the supercharger near the throttle body. You will see a vacuum actuator. When you rev the engine, does it move?

U mean does the actuator move or does my boost move..??

If it looks like some movable lever thn no it doesn't move whn i rev the engine but i moved itto forward but it doesn't move whn i rev the engine ...

Check for vacuum on that hose. Could be the boost control not working, or the actuator is the problem. Just start on one end at trace it back to the other until you find no vacuum.

Do u think after i figure this out it would be a good idea to bypass it as I've read...??

Personally I don't feel it'* a good idea to bypass it. Better to let the PCM deal with it.

Is it sticky when you move it, or does it move pretty freely? Sometimes you need to spray the rod going into the supercharger with a little PB blaster or similar.

Remove the vacuum hose from the boost control actuator, plug the hose, and take the car for a short spin. Try one WOT and see if you have full boost. If you do, replace the actuator. Do not drive it like this longer than a short test run.

Now, observe the actuator arm coming out of the BCA. At idle it should be fully retracted. If you remove the vacuum hose with the engine running it should fully extend.

Remove the BCA and actuate the small lever by hand to see if it moves freely. If it binds, spray both ends of the pivot pin with WD40 or something like that.

Ok I'm learning as i go but i still don't know the correct terms so bare with me fellas...when i first took the hose off that goes to the throttle it would cut off immediately so i held the lever open and it stayed running but barely....i also noticed that theres a sensor connected to my vacuum line but the side that i think is connected to the boost has two holes on this particular side but only one vacuum line to it am i missing a hose there...??
