Default newbe,,

Hi Guys and Girls, my name is Bill, I live in the beautiful NW state of Oregon, I retired from my lifelong job 12 years ago (2000) now I build stuff that insterests me,, and that happens to be old cars and hotrods,, I have been a car nut since the early 50'* grew up with them, as my dad owned a Chev /Oldsmobile dealership, and was himself a hotrodder and drag racer,
I currently own a 69 Bonneville, 2dr H/T ,428HO. and a 48 Anglia Thames ( english ford) gasser streetrod blown/nitrous injected 468 BBC its in the last stages of the build,,
but the Bonneville is in the process of getting put back together after a repaint,, the painter misplaced some trim pieces ( the stainless on top of the doors that holds the weather stripping on, so that has put a binder on the completion date,, ( anyone out there have or know where I could find replacements?)

Anyway,, hope to BS with all you Pontiac lovers ,

Thanks for the links,, OPGI and Ames both carry ( should say backorder) the weatherstripping but not the stainless parts, I have located some locally , if I can now just convince the guy that I need them worse than he does :>)

Thanks for the warm welcome guys,, The guy that has the trim is actually a classic car junk yard with probably 1000+ cars,, several bonnevilles with some primo parts, I actually think the parts guy misunderstood what I was really asking for,, he told the manager I wanted the window wipes? and didn't mention the stainless,, of course the manager told him that he didn't want to take the time involved to remove the "JUNKY RUBBER' so he came back out and told me the stuff wasn't for sale being it wasn't worth the time to remove it/
I'm not through with him yet,, I just have to get past the dumb A??, parts counter guy,
I reproduce the endura nose and rear bumper pieces,, and use the origional mounting brackets,, and he has a bunch of them,,, so maybe I can bribe him a little by asking him to sell me some other JUNKY pieces too

Welcome to the sit Bill. If you have an pictures of the project, please post them up. SGP358 is our classics guy. If your looking for parts, he is likely the best person to talk to.
