Default 05 Century Trunk Opens By Itself

I've got an odd one for you guys. 2005 Buick Century with a trunk that has a mind of it'* own. When I purchased the car I found out that the trunk pop switch on the driver side door did not work. I also soon found out that the trunk would open itself and sometimes when I open the driver side door the trunk will pop open right away. I traced the wiring through the door jam thinking maybe I had a wire grounding out, but I found all of the wires to be ok. I'm leaning towards a bad BCM, but I am hesitant because of the cost. Any ideas?

Does it do it if you have the remote around?

I have isolated the remote and taken it far, far away from the vehicle in knowing that the "remote control door lock receiver" is tied into the Body Control Module. It makes no difference.
