Ok all has been well with my park ave but tonight I smell gas and see a small puddle up front. Put it on the jack stands and the center line that runs from the gas filter to the fuel rail is leaking on the metal portion where it bends up against the firewall.

2 questions; is there only one line that carries gas and the other 2 are vent lines ? Is there a way to repair this or do I need a whloe new line and is it a dealer item of parts store.

I wondered if I could attach a rubber gas line with hose clamps ??

I do believe there is a fuel line repair kit from places like autozone.

I just called and they said there is hi pressure fuel line at 6.oo a foot and hi pressure clamps used for this. He said cut the metal line and splice this in ??

Now there are 3 lines, I assume the pressure line is the one that comes from the fuel filter and this is the one leaking, what are the other 2 line *?

One should be a return line, and the other might be a vent, I'm not sure on the 3rd line.

The center one is from the fuel filter so that is the pressure line that is leaking I assume, its also rusted the worse. The other 2 I can probably just use regular gas line to repair right ? One goes to the fuel presure regulator are and the other comes off the end of the front fuel rail. Only the one line coming from the filter should be a pressure line right ?

The return line is under pressure as well. I would use high pressure fuel line all around. Better to error on the side of safety.

the return line is under pressure too, shitzit... That fuel line is over 6.00 a foot and I would need about 12 ft if I do all 3 ....

Is there liquid in the return line or just vapor ?? If its liquid where does that end up ?

Someone said to use compression unions but there is not much room to work and bending the line would be a bit$$

The return line must be lower pressure than the supply though right ?

It'* slightly less pressure. However it'* fuel, best to treat them equally.

There'* a couple ways to do this. A dorman fuel line repair kit. (not my favorite method), AN fuel lines that you can make (probably the most durable and preferred), then there'* the pick up fuel injection line and fuel injection hose clamps. I'd suggest two clamps per end of the hose.
