hey guys, i havent been on here in a really long time, my bonnie has been setting in the back yard for the last year or so waiting for a transmission rebuild, well it will be done friday so now im getting back to modding it. i just bought a dry n2o kit for really cheap but i realize that dry is bad for */c cars so im wondering what the difference is between wet and dry, and if i can turn the dry kit into a wet kit? im new to nitrous so im not quite sure exactly what is different between the two is, as far as what parts of the kit are diff exc.

GXP venom has N2O on his car, he may be able to answer some of your questions. I believe using n2o on a SC car is OK as long as your not intercooled. But I can't say for sure.

But not a dry shot. Dry Nitrous Injection gave Nitrous it'* bad reputation that is still hard to kill. It drys everything out and doesn't allow for the extra gas needed. You could prolly get away with a mild shot (50 HP orifice) but longevity would be doubtful. Dry systems use an single nozzle injector just for the Nitrous. Wet systems use a dual nozzle injector and two solenoid valves. One for the Nitrous and one for the Gas. You hook a line from the Schrader valve on the fuel rail to the gas solenoid valve. Modern systems have a microchip in the solenoid Valve Box that actually adjusts the gas according to Nitrous pressure left in the bottle. This makes the use of the system even safer. I have never seen a retro kit to change a dry to wet, but you could check with Zex or Holley(NOS) if they carry something like that, They both have sites on the web.

In Canada (To the best of my knowledge) Modifying ANYTHING beyond factory specs will void ones insurance, plus there are laws that can be used to seize nitrous bottles unless the driver has a license to transport compresses gasses.

but with it being illegal i still dont care lol whats stopping me is my warranty.. i still have over 2.25 years left lol and without tune.. timing might be an issue lol

If that'* what your worried about then just make it easy to remove. If something happens take it all off the car and just say "Well it just stopped running on me. . . .. I don't know anything. . . . . ."

when they take the engine apart wouldnt they be able to tell?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but nos ignites and burns in the engine doesn't it? Unless they were to take residue samples and send them to a lab I doubt they could tell.
