Thank you for doing the Bonneville thermostat writeup. Never heard of a tool you wrote about "hose clamp remover", but I will be buying one tomorrow. Always strained removing hose clamps, this looks like a great solution.
BTW- my 2000 Bonneville with the rear left window halfway down displayed a new problem, engine only heating up to 140 degrees, only blows warm air. With the consistent snow we have been having, not warm enough air coming out of the defroster to keep the windshield melted. Tomorrow afternoon I am replacing the thermostat.

Yes you don't have to remove the hose that was a big help...if I had to remove the hose I don't think I could of done it today. I just removed the 2 bolts on the housing and the hose all come right off...it was not too bad on me, and I have NEVER worked on a car before...
Its really really hard to mess anything up with this as long as you follow the directions, thats 99% of anything, the biggest thing I had done on an engine before I did a top swap was an HV3 and now I can do a SS top swap in 2 hours
