180 Thermostat brand
Looking to add a 180 stat to my '05 SLE and was wondering if there'* a specific brand I should get. Seems afterarket places advertise their thermostats as "heavy duty"?

Difference between the thermostats is indeed the diameter of the opening when it reaches temperature. The INTENSE thermostat should flow just shy of 10% more than the Stant I had in there.

In addition, the INTENSE also opens FARTHER.
Rough measurements on my screen show the larger thermostat to be a 16.7 percent increase in diameter. That'* better than a 30% increase in area (flow) assuming both thermostats open the same distance.

Ignore the holes you see above. I get a little nutz in my drilling due to an odd duck component in my system.
Check the INTENSE site for information on the drilling. I don't recall if they do or not, but it'* a very simple process.
