Default Turbo

Is it possible to add a turbo to an SSEi?
I don't nearly have enough money but it would be good to know.
Specifically I was looking at this one :

Yes.

Block off plate for the supercharger is usually the route as pictured here.

Basically your */C is gutted and used as a UIM.

I do beleive some people have done both the */C AND turbo where the */C provided boost until the turbo was spooled up, but I don't think this configuration is done too often.

You can double that cost in the link for a built transmission to take the power. As the old saying goes you're only as strong as your weakest link.

That'* like an extra 150 HP though.
That much HP would seem like a good investment.

Holy ****
So it goes from the turbo to the supercharger?
I'm guessing this has never been done on a Bonneville then.
How much do you think that would all cost haha?

How much are you willing to spend? Aside from the harparts, there will be costs for tuning as well. PCM will need new tables...fuel, shift, coolant fan, boost dump..., you will need dyno time to find out what those tables will need to be, probably a gussied up transmission....and a few other things I can't seem to remember.

I can safely bet a setup like this, with tuning costs, will cost way more than the Bonneville is worth...

Yeah but some guy did it to a Sunfire.
Now if a sunfire is worth more than a Bonneville, I'll eat my hand.
