Well I am truly surprised on the grip of these old BF Goodrich Drag Radials. I know how good they are in the dry.

Even in the rain on wet roads, with virtually zero tread left on on them, they just won't spin as much as my brand new siped Bridgestone Winter Blizzaks.

Granted the drag radials are 2 inches wider but you would still expect them to be hydroplaning and loose as heck on the wet roads.

I just installed the new Blizzaks in preparation to run the Trans Am this winter and removed the well worn out Drag radials.

I hope they grip better as soon as the weather gets colder and slipprier.

When it gets colder, expect the drags to lose all grip. The Blizzaks are designed (tire compound) to grip in the cold.

i have nitto extreme drag radials 275/50/15 on my mustang with 450 rwhp and it hooks better in rain then on dry pavement. supprised the heck out of me.

I'm gonna bet there wasn't much standing water. Fat street slicks will be crap if it'* any decent amount of rain. If it'* still damp, or wet pavement, you'll probably be fine..

I used to run drag radials all the time (BFG DRs now) and they had much better wet traction than most other all season tires. But below like 50* they sucked-lol. On snow they were like ski'*.

Yes they are BFG DR'* and it didn't matter how much water was on the road, they stuck like glue. Yes the temps were above 50.
They are now stored in the shed and the new Blizzak'* are on. These things spin like crazy. My son never liked the BFG'* cause they wouldn't spin. Temp are beginning to fall below 50 now.

I highly recommend the BFG'* for dry and wet weather traction in the warmer months.

No. The regular Drag Radials. They have less gooves and no pattern.

my Hoosier QTP'* only had 2 thin rain channels ( needed for dot cert) and thickness check holes. Now they don't have any. now I have to take it easy for the last raceday of this year. Till my last run, that is
