Default ? about dynomax superturbo muffler

Does anyone know if these mufflers will get loud overtime? I just got them, no res and it sounds good. Someone told me that these will get louder once they break in. Is that true? How do u dynomax muffler owners like your mufflers?

Yes it will break in. We put one on my Dad'* Dodge Durango with the 4.7 V8, and it was quiet at first, and then got louder over time. It'* not LOUD though, just the right level IMO. I just installed one on my SSEi, but I haven't started it to hear it just yet.

Louder over time? Not for me, it was loud and ricey when I first installed it. Then after about a month the tone deepen a bit and it sound just right, but I'm finna get a rez put on. I'm tired of the loudness at low rpm'*.

sweet thanks to all of you.....i cant wait until it breaks in! I love the sound of it now. Does anyone notice at all gas mileage better and if u notice anything better about it like better throttle response due to better flow and etc?

ok for some reason my exhaust smells weird. Like a new muffler smell like its still burning th stuff inside? IDK its not a bad smell like theres something wrong with my car jsut smellled like this after i got the mufflers put on. Is it because they are still new? i probably put about 400 miles on it and had it on for a week already. Thanks

Yes, it will stink. I've put 120 miles on my Dynomax over the past week or so, and it still stinks. Even with hard accelerations.
