handle issue
as many bonneville owners know specificaly 92-99 the oh **&^ handles aren't the most reliable. hence the empty spot on my ceiling. well after looking at the rear handles which are bigger and "appear" better. yet to find out if its true. which bring me to my point. would it be possible to install a rear handle in the front? i'm also looking to screw them in as added measure

Right greyhare?
(the point is that the rear handles aren't any stronger)

The fronts have two clips. The rears have 3 clips..not evenly spaced. I wouldn't try it.. They are weak and bound to break... I am working on a solution though.

I lost one in my 93 to a passenger as well, however, he tried to hang from it, laughed when It broke, I almost booted him out in the middle of the highway, didnt like the guy, but there was a few ladies with him...REGARDLESS, they are not designed to hold someone back.
I'm looking at other GM vehicles for solutions. Finding a handle that will cover the current area. Most have screws and seem to have a better durability.
My passenger handle had a screw in it..and was hard to get out when pulling on purpose.

I ground down the back of the rear handle so its flush against the ceiling. the visor won't close because its hitting the handle but I can trim the coat hook part off to make it fit if I want but at this point I'm happy as is and after lunch ill start screwing it in and hopfuly not up
