Default Replacing drive belt

I am recently a proud owner of a Ponitiac Bonneville series 2. On its first proper run out it shredded the drive belt. Have purchased a new one but can anyone help with a diagram or help in how to fit it correctly

You have to pull a bolt and remove the spacer where the torque-axis mount bolts to the block.

The belt routing diagram is either on your radiator core support or in your owner'* manual.

I assume you're not supercharged and only have one belt? Please put your year and trim level in your signature so we know what you have.

Follow this path.

From the Alternator the belt is straight to the AC compressor, coming under the compressor (working counter clockwise on my routing ) the belt hits the bottom of the crank, comes up clockwise then to the waterpump and counter clockwise off the waterpump to the TENSIONER counterclock down to the power steering pump.

The part you 99% of the time will do wrong is not come off the water pump to the tensioner.

Should look something like this --

You can go to www.autozone.com for a free, online equivalent to the Haynes/Ciltons manual for your car.

John, I'm assuming he'* not supercharged. It would be nice to see his year and trim level in his signature to be sure.

It'll look "like that" for the accessory belt only. Ignore the supercharger path.

It'* the only pic I know for sure where it is. And the version I posted doesn't have the disclaimer about the difference between N/As and whiners...

And I'm sure he'll fix his signature soon...

It'* OK, Tony, When I first did my belt, I also didn't have a pic on my rad support or an owner'* manual. The first time is the toughest.
