boost bypass question

Default boost bypass question

before you all ask no its not elimination the stock control or positioning it. my question is wether or not it is normal for the vavle to be in the upward position at idle rather then down against the supercharger body. recently i did a LIM and */C gaskets and afterwards i noticed no leaks and it ran fine no rough idle and it also drives fine too i noticed if i either manually pull the valve down to the */C housing or hit the throttle hard enough that the rotors begin spinning and the car boosts and through the whole RPM range no hesitation or problems what so ever. i also am not recieveing any DTC'*

so if anyone has any ideas why my car is doing what its doing please tell me.

oh by the way its a 96 L67

The rotors are always spinning. The valve should be up at idle, and go down as you push on the gas. It is acting perfectly normal.

thanks so much because prior too the LIM and */C gasket i would stay down and move upward into the boost controller

Did you get boost before? Because it sounds like it was acting backwards before.

suprisingly the guage did say i was getting boost

Were you always getting boost even at idle or just when you gave it enough throttle?

no prior it was only boosting under moderate to heavy throttle and its the same now after the gaskets

the actuator is the electronic piece that is mounted just below the boost bypass???

Ok, it was and still is acting fine.

The actuator is the black cylinder with the vacuum lines attached to it. It has the rod coming out the bottom that moves the valve. The electrical little box is the boost control solenoid.
