There’* a brand-spank-me-new black one parked behind my building. Very nice. I asked the dude how much room was in the “trunk” – he said “Not much.”, then he opened it. There’* just about enough room in there for a sack lunch, unless you put the top down. Then all you can stick in there is one plain bologna (baloney) sandwich without the bread or baggie.

A lady that came out with him said she wanted one anyway (we all do). The dude told her the dealer had a white one just like it. I told her there was no such thing as a White Curse, but I don't think she was going to run down and buy it though.

Interesting cars... I've always wondered why they aren't legal in Canada if they have the D55 rear spoiler option. Handling / aerodynamics perhaps?? If anyone knows for sure, I'm curious.

The Solstice are pretty sharp looking. Not very practical for me, but I'm sure it would be a fun little joy-rider.

Yes, they are sold in Canada. However, my comment was relating to the D52 spoiler option. If you reference the Transport Canada website, they are not permitted for import with this option.

Handling? The car is one of the best handling GM cars, only bested by the 'vette because of the rear transmission'* weight bias, and the larger tires = more grip. Wheel articulation is actually better because of the double wishbone.

The trunk size you described is a stretch. The problem is the fuel tank takes up the entire "trunk" area. Then the Buttresses for the top take up room, etc... The only real issue I have with it, is the spacing between 1-2 gears is HUGE. But i can still spin them going into second...

My mom has done grocery runs in our Solstice, they went up front... A small golf bag may fit in the back as well, but it wasn't designed to do it like a corvette.

My parents can pack plenty of clothes and whatnot for a 2-3 day weekend get away, and at the first national solstice meet last year they made sure they could get their stuff in that car, before we put things in the camry like our cooler with food, etc...

And they're a HOOT to drive.

Sharp looking?? Pretty ugly IMO. I like the Sky. From what Ive seen most people like the Sky and hate the Solstice, or hate the Sky and love the Solstice.

Tell ya what....good thing I bought my V-dub....theres a blue Solstice within walking distance from my house 4 sale!! I want it!
