What is the target fuel pressure for a 2001 SSEi? We measured it in my car and it'* only running about 40-45 pounds.

When you say running, I assume idling?

The correct procedure is to hook up the gauge and turn the car to on a few times and purge the air out of the hose. Then turn the key on and off until you reach the highest pressure. Then let it sit for 10 minutes and see if the pressure bleeds down at all.

I can only assume that the mechanic knew what he was doing. When I say running I meant that the pressure result was low 40'*.

Most will check it while the engine is running. If that is the case.. 40-45 is about what mine runs at.

Our Bonneville ran in the low 40'* while running as well. Sounds normal to me.
