Hi everyone, I hope someone can give me some help. This is my third Bonneville, '77 400hp, '89 and now a 2000, I love these cars and all 3 have lasted. The '89 had over 200k miles. My '00 was a lease car, just had to have it but I wish I would have bought a later version. I've had to replace two window motors in one year. The dealership left the inner seal out and I can't find one anywhere without purchasing the whole door panel. The car has a rolling vibration that smooths out then repeats at speeds around 70. But my biggest concern is the rear spoiler holding water and of course it all runs into the trunk when you raise it and that''* why I'm here for help. Can anyone tell me where , how and whom to resolve this. I've had to remove the trunk mat so it won't mildew. Thankyou

The 2000+ have their distinct problems which the pre-2000 models did not have, Either way with the issues, I still want to buy a 2000+

Overall the 2000+ are very reliable just a few build quality problems like the window regulators

engine and transmission wise they are quite solid...intakes might fail around 100,000 miles but throw another one for another 100,000 miles...Compared to other cars in the price range the Bonneville'* are usually more reliable.

Go ahead and start a new topic in the 2000-2005 Mechanical section to address your issues.

In the meantime, Hans mentioned the Upper Intake Manifold failure. I don't think we've ever really attempted to nail it down to an average number of miles before failure, but you might want to read this:

Please note that supercharged cars don't have the upper intake manifold problem, but do suffer from the nasty orange DEXcool coolant eating the lower intake gaskets up.
