More Northwest Storm damage. Member'* house:

Note that the Chilipepper is NORMALLY on the right side of the garage. All of our fuel injectors are cleaned, rebuilt, and matched on the more severely damaged side.

Hey guys...some pictures are attached of our "fun" over the weekend.
We lost 5 big trees in the storm and one of them nailed the garage. It'* a big mess in there. It blew the ceiling out inside and there'* wet blow-in insulaton everywhere, broken glass, shattered light tubes, sheetrock dust...nasty mess. None of my equipment appears to be severely damaged. Fortunately, things were positioned such that nothing major was smashed or ruined.
We've been through scary storms before, but never lost any trees. Once they started crashing down, we bailed for town in a hurry.
We've been without power (and water) ever since but were told this morning that the power will be on by noon today for us. It'* a good thing because the horses finally ran out of water this morning.
The current plan is to move my equipment over the next week or so I can continue working while the garage is rebuilt. We're just really glad the house is intact and no one got hurt.
Have a great Christmas and New Year! We'll see you all in '07.

OUCH. Chilipepper ok?
Yup, the car was in the trailer still.
If I had to pick what was smashed, I'd have picked the race car. It and the trailer could be replaced with a phone call. Now I have to deal with contractors, etc. and probably months of screwing around to get my shop back in top form.
Oh well, we'll bounce back!

Very fortunate no trees hit the main house. Amazing that there is still no power and water. :?

Consider him in business. Nothing was destroyed. Just minor damage.
If I have to go out there and help him move stuff and set it up again to get work done, I will.

Good to hear that you should have power and water, today. You haven't been staying at the house all this time without utilities, right?

Wow! That'* certainly no fun. I know. In 2004 we spent two seperate 6 day periods without electric and water and cutting up downed trees. Fortunately, We personally didn't experience any house damage.
Like you said Chris, it'* going to be a huge hassle between the ins. co. the contractor'*, the permitting process, and etc.
BTW, very nice house and location in those woods, despite the potential for falling hardwood!

The power is back on now and I just turned the pump on. Looks like no broken pipes or other complications. Now to start cleaning up!
