Default HRRM HUD

Of all the things I love about my car I can't get around the incredibly stupid little fault that the hud is GREEN and every other light inside by car is RED. There is no excusable reason for that!! Anyways is there any way to change the color on these things, I'm thinking about finding some transparent red plastic and inserting it into my HUD to make it match the rest of the car.

Sorry for being a bit off topic, but what I notice about my HUD is that it reads 2 klm per hour more than my speedo. Any one else find that.

yeah mine does that too, the HUD is right tho, it tells you what the computer knows, the speedo is useless anyways unless it'* too bright to see the hud.

Tell me more about the blue...

Your windshield is specifically designed to reflect the green. Any other color will be dimmer.

The green was selected specifically not to be distracting to you, and to be visible in all light conditions.

That'* why the military uses green huds also.

hrrmf. Well maybe I'll make it darker green idk it'* such a dull color. I wonder why other companies dont use HUDs, look at bmws and mercedes cars, a HUD would make them complete. I don't think GM has it patented since the military invented the technology and its been around bonnes have had it since 1992

Lol. I wish I could complain about the HUD color, but mine never worked when I bought the car. Only thing that ever wasn't quite right. I don't know why either.

Then maybe you should start a new topic in Electrical for some help.
