OTC OBD II ScanPro 3409 vs. AutoXray 6000 (what you say?)

This little gem can scan DTC codes as well as real time engine operating parameters. I was comparing this one to the AutoXray 6000. The price is lower than the AutoXray, but I'm not sure if the capability is on par. What you say?
Look at it this way - $311 for a ScanPro™ OBDII CAN Scan Tool, or about 50 bucks more for Autoxray EZ-Scan 6000 OBD I & II Code Scanner with Enhanced OBD????

I'd be wary of anything that used dime store batteries (those are 20 for a buck at the local dollar store and last about 2 hours) and a serial port for communication. It sure looks nice but I would at least expext USB for anything nowerdays.
