Default Rims question

Its about that time to trade over to my winter tires...I have them on the factory rims. But Right now i have chrome rims on my car. So heres the question. How Do i go about takein the lugs off without scratching them??

be careful?...

you are trying not the scratch the lugs? are they chrome?

they make sockets that have plastic sheaths on them that wont scratch the rims

Be careful you say? I never thought of that, i was gona try a hammer and screwdriver and see if i could just pop them off...Good thing you came along.

I'll have to pick up one of them plastic sheath sockets from napa or somthing. Thanks for the idea Oats.

I have one of the plastic coated sockets, it works great and there'* no worries if you touch the rims with it. Like Oats...I'd recommend one for anyone that cares about their rims.
