my driver information has been acting weird lately. nothin outrageous, but sometimes it indicates things that arent true, like the fuel being low when i just filled it up and the only thing that fixes it is turning off the car and starting it back up. is it just the computer going out or something different?

Usually you start with removing the cluster and checking and cleaning the electrical connections.
