I'd spend the $175
Anyone with a Hertz rental near you don't get your hopes up.
Closest I can find is in the Southern states. Someone please rent one and drive it to a Hertz in MN
Side Note: I have owned a Shelby rental car myself, but it wasn't quite as desirable. It was 1988 SHELBY CSX-T #400. I bought it off the sister of the original owner, and sold it two months later on ebay to a big collector in Pheonix, NM who put a Lotus 2.2 Turbo engine in it. Wish I had it back now with that motor in it.

Being an automatic car I don't see how it would be a whole lot of fun. I also understand that being a rental car, it wouldn't make sense for them to be manuals. If someone gave me the opportunity to drive it I wouldn't turn it down, but I don't think I'd spend the $150+ to do so.
I have seen pics of them at the strip and video confirming the high 13 second passes.
