My DVD drive came with Power DVD Player. It has worked well so far, no complaints and it has features like variable rate FF& RW, Slowmotion, freeze frame, zoom.....

I got some DVD programs laying around that came with my drives.

It sounds kinda wierd that your computer came with a DVD drive, but no software to run it?

Just like we did to my desktop last year John. Anyways, Bandit sent me some stuff, so I got it all taken care of now

Ya... you formatted the wrong partition first..LOL...which really didn't matter, because all it was is Compaq'* system recovey file partition. Then, when you gave me that extra drive for a page file drive, we have my OEM drive out for something or another, and you proceeded to drop that on the hard wood floor in your living room giving me nothing but system dystilic errors or something lol.

Then I con'd a replacement drive out of HP on a warranty claim
